Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHs
Salary £111,430 - £148,064 pro rata
Hybrid working with at least 3 consecutive days present in
the Western Isles per month
12 hours per week
Fixed Term post for 12 months

This post provides an exciting opportunity to work as an integral part of a community multi disciplinary team, in the prioritising and delivery of safe, effective and person centred care to children, young people and their families aged between 0 – 18 years.
We are inviting applications for the post of Consultant Psychiatrist, CAMHS. Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC. It is a requirement that applicants are Section 22 approved at the time of commencing employment.
You will work as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes community RMN nurses, primary care / community workers, psychologists, systemic family therapist, and OT. This post provides an exciting opportunity for someone who holds excellent leadership skills and a passion for making a difference to children, young people and their families’ experiences of mental health care. Within this post there is an expectation for the post holder to lead on service development and change and to meet with the Scottish National Standards for the delivery of care.
CAMHS WI works within the GIRFEC principles and is guided by the Psychological Matrix to best meet evidenced based treatments in line with Scottish National Standards.
You will provide high quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric investigation to children, young people and their families in a range of settings, and work collaboratively with other members of the team alongside health, education and social services, to plan and deliver appropriate, individually tailored treatment plans.
Key duties
NHS Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) 2004 apply. The post is for 12 PAs (10DCC +2 SPAs) per month.
