Locum Consultant in Urology

Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon based on the Newham and Whipps cross sites for Barts Health. We are looking for a Consultant Urological Surgeon to help with the overall workload of the Urology department. This post is to support the diagnostic and core urology work in the department.

Key duties will be supervising and running operating lists, acute and specialist clinics, diagnostics, on call cover, ward rounds, and care for patients on wards in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including ward and specialist nursing teams. The unit is very active in research, education and audit and the post holder will be expected to fully participate in all the above activities.

You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council with a license to practise.

Main duties of the job

We are advertising for a Consultant Urological Surgeon, to support the urology service provision on the Newham University Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital sites within Barts Health. This post is to support the Diagnostic and Core Urology work in the specialty.

The unit is very active in research, education and audit and the post holder will be expected to fully participate in all the above activities.

You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and be on the

Specialist Register, or within 6 months of obtaining CCST. Informal discussions are
