Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine

This post offers an exciting opportunity for a Respiratory Consultant to join an expanding, progressive and forward-thinking team of Respiratory clinicians, who provide a number of quality services to respiratory patients across South Warwickshire.

We are looking for a committed and passionate colleague to support and develop our Respiratory service at Warwick Hospital. The job is offered on a 10 PA contract and will be a mixture of ward-based Physician of the week, and clinic weeks.

Main duties of the job

The main elements of the post will be:

• To support the inpatient service in Respiratory Medicine.
• The Consultant will have 10 sessions per week to support the Respiratory Physician of the Week and the Respiratory Registrars to manage all the inpatient workload, including referrals and procedures, working approx. 1 in 4 weeks.
• The Consultant will have scheduled bronchoscopy sessions on a rota basis, approximately 1 in 4 weeks. Additionally, there will be occasional emergency bronchoscopy sessions and EBUS sessions once this service commences.
• Outpatient clinics will be scheduled throughout the week.
