Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology 6PA

Based in the Department of Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital

We are currently inviting applications for a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology, based in the department of Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The candidate must have extensive experience in managing patients with complex paediatric dermatology presentations, particularly those with complex vascular anomalies and in the use of lasers. The successful candidate will divide their time between outpatient clinics, inpatient reviews, and referral triage.

Additional responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary meetings focused on the care of patients with complex vascular anomalies, including the use of new targeted medical treatments. The post holder will also provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff, while serving as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will have experience with children or adolescents with complex presentations in paediatric dermatology, particularly complex vascular anomalies and lasers. Clinical work will be divided between outpatient clinic, reviewing inpatients on the ward and referral triage. Additional clinical roles include attendance at the several multidisciplinary meetings for management of these complex patients.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior staff and be a source of clinical expertise to the multi- disciplinary team. The post offers opportunities to take a key role in a number of exciting service development and research initiatives.
