LOCUM CONSULTANT IN OESOPHAGOGASTRIC SURGERY
The Upper GI Department currently has a vacancy for a Locum Consultant Oesophagogastric Surgeon to join five current Consultant colleagues.
Applications are invited to apply for the post based at the Department of Upper GI Surgery, Churchill Hospital, Oxford.
The department’s expertise covers a wide range of Oesophagogastric surgery with high volumes of Oesophagogastric cancer, complex benign disease and general surgery. The new Consultant will have specialist training in robotic Upper GI cancer surgery and experience of complex benign Upper GI surgery and be able to integrate and help develop the above services.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Elective and Emergency Upper GI Surgery (inc Robotic Upper GI cancer and complex benign oesophageal surgery); Upper GI Surgical Clinics; Endoscopy and Participation in a 24-hr rota to cover Emergency Surgery as well as subspecialist cover for Oesophagogastric emergencies.
POST OF: LOCUM CONSULTANT IN OESOPHAGOGASTRIC SURGERY
A whole-time post as Locum Consultant in Oesophagogastric Surgery is available now at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a Locum post available from July 2026.
