Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Learning and Development team as an Apprenticeship Coordinator. This role supports and promotes apprenticeships across RDaSH, helping to develop and improve our offer across both clinical and non-clinical areas.

You will play a key role in maximising our Apprenticeship Levy by supporting the coordination and development of apprenticeship pathways from Level 2 to Level 6. Acting as a main point of contact for apprenticeship queries, you will support apprentices throughout their journey and work closely with managers and training providers to ensure a high-quality experience.

We are looking for someone with experience of apprenticeships, strong organisational skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the Trust. You should be confident providing advice and guidance, managing competing priorities, and working with data to support decision-making.

If you are passionate about workforce development and creating opportunities for others, we would love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion, please contact Jade Pullen.

Main duties of the job

As Apprenticeship Coordinator, you will:

  • Support and raise the profile of apprenticeships across the Trust.
  • Coordinate all aspects of apprenticeship administration, ensuring compliance with ESFA funding requirements and effective use of the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS).
  • Support the Apprenticeship Lead in developing and implementing the Trust’s apprenticeship strategy.
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior leaders, managers and staff regarding apprenticeship development opportunities.
  • Act as the first point of contact for apprenticeship queries.
  • Monitor, report and interpret apprenticeship data, including financial information and key metrics for Trust reporting.
  • Liaise with external training providers to ensure due diligence, quality assurance, and positive learner outcomes.
  • Deliver presentations, workshops and support sessions to increase awareness of apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners (including schools, colleges and regional networks) to promote and expand the Trust’s apprenticeship offer.
  • Act as an advocate for apprentices, helping to remove barriers to completion and progression.
  • Support functional skills provision (Maths and English), including enrolment and liaison with providers.
  • Contribute to internal communications, including intranet updates and promotional activity.
