Job overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) to join our maternity team at the Rosie.

This is a key leadership and support role focused on enhancing the quality of care, supporting midwives for promoting a positive working environment through the A-EQUIP model (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement).

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide restorative clinical supervision to midwives and maternity staff  •    Support continuous professional development and reflective practice  •    Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within maternity services  •    Promote safe, evidence-based practice and a culture of learning  •    Offer guidance and support in complex clinical and professional situations  •    Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for women and families

About You

  • Registered Midwife with current professional registration  •    Qualified Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA)  •    Significant post-registration experience in midwifery practice  •    Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills  •    Passionate about staff wellbeing, development, and high-quality patient care  •    Ability to facilitate reflective discussions and support practice improvement
