An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspirational and motivated pharmacist to take on a senior role within our dynamic Pharmacy team. Pharmacy is recognised as a key resource within our Frailty and Care of the Older Person department, and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead services in this area while working alongside other Specialist Lead Pharmacists.
Our department is dedicated to advancing pharmacy practice and embedding effective medicines management systems into patient care. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong organisational and communication skills who is eager to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacy services. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver a comprehensive, high-quality clinical service.

The successful candidate will work at a senior level within the service and play an influential role in the patients care pathway whilst building upon proven clinical skills. The combination of responsibilities will significantly facilitate your growth in both the clinical and leadership aspect of this role.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote clinical and cost-effective prescribing through evidence based guidelines. The post holder will develop, audit and monitor Medicines Management processes within the service and provide training and supervision to departmental staff.
In addition to well-developed communication and leadership skills you will have previous experience of working within a clinical environment and will have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork would be advantageous.
Training and support will be provided. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. It is envisaged that the candidate will possess a prescribing qualification or be prepared to work towards one.
