Laundry Assistant

Band 2 £26,696 to £28,988 pro rata

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 pro rata

25 hours per week

Fixed term Post for 12 months

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated individuals who can work well in a busy environment within the Laundry Department, at the Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, HS1 2AF.

The shift pattern for this position varies from 7am/8am to 4pm/5pm from Monday to Fridays.

The successful candidates will be required to work in any area of the Laundry on a rotational basis. A current driving license is desirable for the post.

The successful candidate will need to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full time employment or up to six months for part time workers. For further information see www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk

The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
