Job overview

To support the internal design service and the graphic designer in creating and amending a wide range of materials and assets that reflect our brand guidelines, across both digital and print mediums.

The postholder will be responsible for creating engaging designs through to print and online and have an eye for detail.

This will include supporting print and digital campaigns, producing designs, layouts and graphics, developing publications and a wide range of support and communication materials.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated graphic designer who will be responsible for creating designs and artwork for both digital and printed materials, delivering to tight schedules and closely observing brand guidelines. On a day-to-day basis, you will be coming up with ideas for the marketing department as well as responding to briefs from the wider team.

You will support the senior graphic designer on their delegated projects and produce graphics to fulfil the needs of client briefs, whilst adhering to all required brand guidelines. You will work with clients, leading developments/direction, taking projects from concept through to final delivery, for both print and digital materials.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the development of a range of materials using innovative solutions, as directed, to deliver engaging content •    Work with the graphic designer and other members of the marketing and communications team, managing allocated workload to complete work within given timescales.  •    Interpret information through a variety of graphic design and multi-media techniques.  •    To ensure that presentation of information adheres to the Trust, NHS and charity identity guidelines.  •    Support marketing to produce information via a variety of media to staff, patients, fundraisers and stakeholders  •    Day to day contact with several members of the marketing and communications team, ensuring confidentiality when required  •    Support with projects that involve communicating important messages to staff, patients and fundraisers •    Support online/digital communications for the website, intranet, social media and e-newsletters •    Communicate design options to colleagues using the available technologies  •    Promote appropriate solutions for design requests •    Liaise directly with colleagues to gain a strong understanding of their project requirements •    Keep up to date with current trends and practices in the appropriate disciplines and inform other members of the department as necessary •    Maintain Trust media library of images and photography consent
