Our Junior Clinical Fellow programme includes posts with the exciting opportunity to have 20% of time dedicated to a specialist interest. Whilst working in Emergency Medicine, you will join a team of 29 consultants, 3 specialty doctors, 18 middle grades, 28 other resident doctors, 9 ACPs and over 100 nurses working in the Emergency Department. This post involves a full shift system, involving nights and weekend work. Your primary responsibility will include delivering care to the full spectrum of patients that attend the emergency department. You will have to opportunity to be part of the “trauma team”. You will use and develop your emergency care skills to resuscitate the most critically unwell patients. Resident doctors in the ED are supported by senior resident and higher specialty trainee doctors, and resident on-call ED Consultants, 24/7.
