This Radiology Lead Nurse role is for those not simply interested in the routine, day-to-day nursing positions which may be offered elsewhere. This is a job for someone with the desire and passion to extend the scope of their practice and develop as a senior nurse, including specialising in various advanced nursing techniques and image guided intervention procedures.
The post-holder will not only run the Interventional Suite with the superintendent radiographer and lead consultant, but they will guide and instruct the entire radiology department in all nursing aspects.

The post requires an experienced skilled Interventional nurse, enthusiastic, inspirational and with transferable skills, displayed when regular undertaking clinical duties.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall management and professional development of staff within specified clinical area. They will liaise closely with colleagues in managing the provision of the Interventional radiology service.
Operationally they will provide leadership and professional development for the nursing and support workers within the clinical area as well as providing professional advice and support. Additionally, they will be responsible for continual improvement of Patient Experience and Quality of care improvement projects, implementation and evaluation of policies, guidelines and protocols.
The post holder must be kept at the forefront of developments in Radiology, and be able to implement them in our practices and work flow.
