We are looking for a skilled and experienced midwife to primarily join our dynamic postnatal ward team as team lead. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a passion for postnatal care to advance their career in a supportive and innovative setting.

As Inpatient Midwife Team Leader, you will:
• Provide advanced and compassionate midwifery care and ensure prescribing for women with diabetes in pregnancy, ensuring timely assessments, follow-up and evidence-based care planning.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary postnatal services, working closely with consultants, neonatologist, specialist support workers, perinatal mental health team, and senior management team,e.t.c..
• Offer expert advice, education and support to colleagues across maternity, primary care and the wider trust, ensuring best practice is shared and implemented.
• Line manage and appraise team members, supporting their development and ensuring service resilience.
• Champion patient education, empowering women and families to understand and manage their condition throughout pregnancy and beyond.
• Take an active role in governance, clinical audit, complaints investigation, and implementation of national initiatives such as the Saving Babies’ Lives Care Bundle.
• Contribute to service development, research and quality improvement to enhance outcomes and patient experience.
Promote a culture of safety, compassion and inclusivity, ensuring women’s voices and experiences are at the heart of service delivery.
