Main duties of the job You will be a key player in our IPC agenda and work in collaboration with teams across the organisation ensuring robust IPC measures and governance processes are in place and embedded in practice. You will contribute to the development of a quality, proactive and evidence-based IPC service, to prevent and reduce the incidence of infections and implement improvements to enhance patient and staff safety across the organization. The successful candidate will: Be responsible for providing specialist Infection Prevention & Control advice and support to staff and teams working across our services and the wider community Act as an advisor and advocate, disseminating specialist skills and knowledge to staff, patients and visitors, always being accessible and acting as a role model. Have the ability to manage your own workload. Be willing to undertake specialist IPC education/ CPD programme. The post will be based at Chapeltown Health Centre; however, post holders will be expected to work throughout the city as required, therefore being a car driver is essential.
