Are you passionate about breastfeeding? Can you work flexibly to support mothers to achieve their feeding goals? Are you enthusiastic about working with others to provide mother and baby centred care over the first few days of life?

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and Ysbyty Wrexham Maelor to join the Maternity Infant Feeding team to assist in the delivery of breastfeeding, lactation and infant feeding care and support on the postnatal ward.

The role will mainly be supporting mothers on the postnatal wards but will also include assisting the Infant Feeding Team in other ways such as data collection.

The applicant must be passionate about breastfeeding and supporting mothers to achieve their feeding goals. The applicant must have experience in supporting breastfeeding and a recognised qualification in breastfeeding support with one of the UK recognised breastfeeding charities.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach and an ability to relate positively to patients and colleagues. Relevant, significant experience and/or qualification, which demonstrates knowledge and skills of benefit to these posts is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
