This is an exciting opportunity to join the health visiting team in Orkney working alongside the Infant Feeding Lead. This rewarding role will involve working with families in the antenatal and post birth period, supporting mums to breastfeed effectively for as long as they want to. The role also includes antenatal workshops with health promotion sessions occasionally on a weekend with new parents and being involved in all aspects of infant feeding.
You will have some experience around working with people and delivering health promotion and have a passion for supporting families in their infant feeding journey.
You will be an excellent communicator and able to work effectively alone but also as part of a bigger team.
This is a new position and as the successful candidate you will have a vision for how the role can grow and develop over time.
The successful candidate will also possess an SVQ 3 or have demonstratable equivalent experience.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.

The salary for this post is Band 3 and if residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,654 pro rata per annum, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
