Imaging Assistant - General and fluoroscopy

This is a rotational post with duties being at:

Hull Royal Infirmary,  , Castle Hill Hospital, the East Riding Hospital, Hornsea Cottage Hospital   , Withernsea Community Hospital.  This post will also involve rotation to the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Hull.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time imaging assistant to join the forward thinking general x-ray and fluoroscopy team  of the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will be working as a part of a friendly team of dedicated and hardworking Radiographers  and support workers within the main x-ray  departments  of the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

This role will involve contributing to shift patterns covering the 7 day service (including bank holidays) .

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role

Main duties of the job

The imaging assistant role is primarily to  aid and support the Radiographers  and radiologists in directly delivering a quality service for all users of the  x-ray  department.

We are looking for a friendly team members  who are able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills along with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and work using own initiative. This role includes patient care, communication and  IT . There is a need for the successful candidate to be able to multi-task, work well within a team and have a flexible approach to their working site and hours. The service is provided over 7 days and the core opening hours of the department are between 8am to 6pm.

The post holder needs to be flexible to be able to work any shift of up to 10 hours within the opening hours depending upon service need.

Applicants must have a good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent.

Previous employment in a similar environment/NHS/care setting   would be desirable. Experience of dealing with the general public is essential along with good communication skills, ability to work as an effective team member
