An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our busy and dynamic ICT team in the role of a Support Technician.

This team supports many aspects of Trust clinical and non-clinical systems & hardware within North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

This role is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, as well as participating in an out of hours on call rota

The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge across a broad range of ICT Applications and operating systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, PDQ,  SCCM, RDP, DameWare

NB:

In regards to base, North Tees or Hartlepool site is negotiable

Main duties of the job

With over 5000 users, 3000 desktops, 700 networked printers, and 150 applications spread over circa 40 geographic locations within Tees and Durham Valley, applicants need to demonstrate sound technical knowledge of a diverse set of applications and hardware in order to provide solutions for end users both over the phone and in person.

You will assist with all aspects of the day to day administration and management of ICT systems, having a good breadth and depth of ICT knowledge gained through experience, as you will be required to work without supervision and will need to understand the complexity of the overall ICT environment within the Trust.

Working closely with the ICT Focus Groups, staff you should understand the key role of team working and its part in delivering successful customer service.

Knowledge/experience of supporting existing NHS information systems on a range of platforms will be an advantage.

Applicants will require a Full UK driving license.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To maintain all systems in a state where the business processes of the trust can be guaranteed. Ensure that planned and unplanned interruptions to these services and systems are dealt with efficiently and satisfactorily.

To carry out the installation, support and maintenance of ICT provided devices, their associated software applications and their peripheral equipment

To provide a 1st & 2nd line fault fix service for ICT software and hardware using SMS remote control software and as a roaming field engineer.
