Hysteroscopy Nurse Specialist - Band 7 - 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Nurse Hysteroscopist to join our  team  in our Gynaecology  Outpatient department on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The successful post holder will be qualified to practice as an independent nurse hysteroscopist in accordance with the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopists (BSGE) and will work closely with  the service lead and wider gynaecology team to ensure delivery of high quality accessible care for women requiring hysteroscopic examination.

You must have a post registration qualification in specialty, nationally recognised British Society Gynaecology Endoscopy (BSGE) Nurse Hysteroscopy Course and at least one year experience.

Based at Tameside & Glossop ICFT  you will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside our current nurse specialists.

As a Nurse Hysteroscopist you will work independently as an expert practitioner, you will have your own caseload of patients and perform the diagnostic hysteroscopy procedures using a critical decision making process to determine case management and perform treatment procedures.

Main duties of the job

The nurse will act as an autonomous practitioner performing  diagnostic hysteroscopy procedures using a critical decision making process to determine case management and perform treatment procedures.

In conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff, the Nurse will formulate the development of clinical guidelines for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical speciality.
