this post is 20 hours per week Mon-Fri 5pm-9pm, The post holder will be expected to be flexible to cover annual leave sickness including weekend work

The Hygiene Supervisor will assist and support the Manager /leadership Team in providing a professional and effective cleaning service. By supervising and supporting Hygiene staff in day to day requirements and responsible for the various functions of the department. Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and assisting with the day to day running of the hygiene service.

The post holder will need to assist the leadership team in achieving the operational goals and help support with implementation of new systems and ways of working.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for supervising the day to day assistances and all various functions of the service.
  • Responsible for crating and planning staff rotas in conjunction with the management team, ensuring they are always reflective of the service. Includes monitoring the allocation of annual leave entitlement, ensuring service levels are always maintained. The post holder must be able to support front line staff in times of shortfall in staffing levels and there is a fair distribution of workload.
  • Maintain accurate staff sickness, including fit to work notes, occupational health referrals required on request of line Manager and completing quality staff RTWs as per the policy and ensure highly complex information is recorded accurately on all systems

Directly responsible for the band 2 hygiene assistants' performance and set objectives and agreed personal development plans. Ensure their performance is monitored in line with Trust policies (Robust Mandatory Training/other training records
