Job overview

To provide and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas within the North Adult CMHT at Northlands Community Health Centre.  To undertake and complete relevant paperwork / electronic recording for water flushing, fridge temperatures, water temperatures and fire and panic alarm testing and to follow cleaning schedules in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.

Main duties of the job

  • General cleaning of all corridors and working areas within the site.
  • Following work schedules, which includes the opening or locking up of the building, the emptying of bins, hoovering of rooms and corridors,  cleaning of toilets, shower room and clinical areas, the cleaning of carpets and the washing of walls.
  • Disposal of all rubbish following Trust Policies and guidelines.
  • Following all Trust Policies and guidance relevant to the role.
  • Request cleaning materials and keeping adequate stock levels.
  • To carry out duties having due regards for infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations.
  • To ensure products, equipment and materials are used appropriately and in the correct manner to ensure safe cleaning and the best results.
