About the Role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Housekeeper to join our team on Hyndburn Ward at Whalley. This is an important role supporting both staff and patients by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes recovery and wellbeing.
Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of the ward, helping maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the ward, including patient areas, communal spaces, and staff areas - Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed at all times - Order, monitor, and restock supplies such as cleaning materials, linen, and ward essentials - Assist in creating a comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients - Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly - Work collaboratively with nursing and clinical staff to support ward operations
About You - Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferably in a healthcare setting) - Understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control standards - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Organised, reliable, and proactive approach to work - A compassionate and respectful attitude towards individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
