Job overview

Home Birth Midwife

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

There are exciting opportunities that have opened up in our Home birth team for enthusiastic and motivated band 6 midwives to be involved in innovative midwifery by providing continuity of care for those women who would like a homebirth.

There is a focus on continuity of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care and this role includes a variety of clinical care from bookings, antenatal follow-ups, on-calls for homebirths, intrapartum care for your own women and postnatal care at home or in a clinic. We are looking for motivated experienced midwives to join this fantastic team providing a service to local women and families.

You would be expected to be part of an on-call rota as part of the team and be a car driver.

You can expect a warm welcome at Hillingdon from our established and friendly multidisciplinary team. In addition, we pride ourselves on the way we support and nurture our colleagues and how we value progression for all of our midwives as well as on promoting normality in pregnancy and birth whilst also offering appropriate support for those women who require additional care. We are passionate about safely upholding and supporting people to have the birth they choose in the place they feel most at ease.
