At NELFT we have an opportunity for you to work with  the Thurrock Youth Justice Team as the speech and language therapist.

We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly  team. You will be part of our community team and also be based with the Thurrock Youth Justice Service, working with their young people. You will also support our autism and ADHD assessment pathway.

Main duties of the job

  • You will have a small highly specialist caseload within  the Youth Justice Team.  You will provide an advanced standard of assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate intervention for young people with speech, language and communication disorders. You will devise and deliver appropriate highly specialist intervention/care plans/enhanced models of SLT for clients with complex communication needs and provide suitable and timely support as part of the YJS approach.
  • You will develop and deliver specialist training for other professionals within the area of communication  development and difficulties.
