This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Older People’s Service within NHSGGC at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy across assessment, rehabilitation wards and day hospital settings. Working within one of the UK’s largest and most forward-thinking Health Boards, you will be supported to develop professionally while making a real difference to the lives of older people. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • Inverclyde Royal Hospital
  • Five out of seven days a week

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver highly specialised physiotherapy assessment and treatment to older people with complex needs
  • Manage and prioritise an autonomous caseload while maintaining high quality clinical records
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support goal setting, discharge planning and safe transitions of care
  • Provide leadership, supervision and support to junior staff, support workers and students
  • Contribute to service development through audit, evidence based practice and quality improvement
  • Deputise for the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist or AHP Team Lead when required
  • Provide expert advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues across disciplines

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration
  • Significant post registration experience including work with older people and complex conditions
  • Experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary and multi agency environment
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills with the ability to work autonomously and manage risk
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD supported by a professional portfolio
  • Leadership skills with experience of supervising, supporting or appraising junior staff
  • Good IT skills and confidence using clinical and organisational systems
