Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To lead in the development and delivery of pharmaceutical care in Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

  • Identify and promote best practice.
  • Ensure delivery of the clinical governance agenda in relation to drug use to minimise the number of drug related incidents
  • Motivate and inspire others (both within pharmacy and the directorate) in order to create and maintain a good working environment and facilitate staff retention.
  • Proactively develop clinical pharmacy services in line with local and national objectives.
  • Demonstrate innovation in the highly specialised field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology pharmacy practice.
