Due to service redevelopment, we have some exciting opportunities for Band 7 to 8a preceptorship Clinical Psychology posts within our Ealing CAMHS NDLD pathways, across the Neurodevelopmental team (0.6 WTE), Learning Disabilities team (up to 0.8 WTE) and Mental Health Support Team Plus (0.5 WTE).

We are keen to create bespoke jobs that fit with candidate’s skills and areas of interest and so encourage both full-time and part-time candidates to apply.

We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled and innovative clinicians who are able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice as well as advocate for young people and families’ needs. Successful candidates would support and implement our commitments to staff wellbeing, manageable job plans and giving staff the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge further whilst in role.

These posts are part of a preceptorship programme designed to support people currently working at a Band 7 level, to move into a Band 8a position upon completion of 8a preceptorship criteria. Please note that these posts are also being advertised as Band 8a posts.

Main duties of the job

Ealing CAMHS both have a strong multi-disciplinary approach and thrive on innovative practice to meet the local population needs of a culturally and economically diverse borough.  You will be committed to ensuring that the service is accessible and effective.    You will offer a high-quality service to young people, families / carers, alongside working effectively with your colleagues and liaising with other professionals in the network.  In particular, you will provide specialist mental health and neurodevelopmental assessments alongside psychological interventions for a broad range of complex mental health concerns.  These roles combine clinical work with opportunities to support team development and provide supervision and support to trainees and junior staff.      Psychology is very well established profession within CAMHS and has a strong and supportive network of Senior Psychologists. The post provides excellent opportunities for professional development and regular supervision.
