An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Team at the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. Our EB Service is a national centre for patients requiring multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment for the management of complex EB and rare dermatological conditions, such as Netherton Syndrome and Harlequin Ichthyosis.
The role includes covering both the Inpatient and Outpatient Service and advising on Dietetic Care nationally to patients admitted locally from birth to transition. The role includes 0.2 WTE of research time, and you will be leading on Dietetic research projects and supporting wider MDT projects. You with work alongside the Band 8c Head of Dietetics and a Band 7 Dermatology Dietitian to collaborate and work towards delivery of a world-class Dietetics Service to Dermatology.
Duties include, providing expert dietetic input to treatment plans, leading on dietetic led outpatient clinical assessments and advising on nutritional deficiencies. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a large and supportive MDT team and have the opportunity to develop audit, outcomes and clinical service evaluation to improve practice.
Opportunities include teaching and representing the service at a national and international level. We are looking for a dynamic individual with significant previous experience working with children with complex nutritional support needs and gastroenterology, with an inquiring mind and a passion for research.
