We are seeking  an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visitor or School Nurse,  to lead in the delivery of our Healthy Child Programme Service in Tameside. You will lead and line manage the HV and School nurse teams in one of our  neighbourhoods.  You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient day to day delivery of the HCP to children, young people and families in the locality, supporting your staff to deliver excellent services.

Our Healthy Child Programme 0-19 (25 SEND) Service for Health Visiting and School Nursing has a vision to improve health outcomes for our population and influence the wider determinants of health, through collaboration with the people of Tameside and Glossop and our health and care partners. We are currently progressing through an exciting service transformation in conjunction with all of our teams with excellent progress.

Main duties of the job

Your role will lead a multi-professional team within a locality in ensuring the high quality, safe and efficient delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 years to children, young people and families.  Provide professional and clinical leadership, and line management of neighbourhood teams.  Work closely and productively with multi-agency partners and stakeholders to ensure that positive outcomes are achieved for children and young people. Ensure the safe delivery and quality services are provided, keeping children central to all of our care. You will provide clinical oversight, line management, and assurance through clinical governance. You will support the team through the delivery of our public health agenda, service priorities and quality improvement projects. You will be part of a very supportive, inclusive and productive leadership team and will be given opportunities for development
