This is an exciting opportunity to work across an All Age Eating Disorder service supporting service users and families.

We are a friendly, enthusiastic team who are dedicated to providing excellent care, delivering evidence based interventions and continually striving for service improvement.

We are looking to recruit to a full-time, Band 3 HCSW to work as part of our experienced multi-disciplinary team supporting service users  and their families in their recovery  and contribute to the delivery of training to colleagues and partner agencies to support with early identification and access to appropriate service provision.

Main duties of the job

To provide support, and spend therapeutic time with an allocated group of service users.

  • To promote and support the physical health, comfort, wellbeing and recovery of service-users, and to assist them in re-establishing their place in the community, as appropriate.
  • To assist Registered Professionals in assessments and care planning/ implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
  • To participate in the process of assessment, intervention and evaluation of planned programmes of care as identified by the Eating Disorder Service, with individuals and families.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Carrying out meal supervisions with adults, young people and parents / carers in a variety of settings

Advising and assisting parents and family members in developing skills and establishing programmes of behaviour management relating to eating disorders.

Gathering information relevant to the assessment process through liaison with the adult, young person, parents, and other professionals.

To exercise a reasonable and agreed degree of professional autonomy and make judgements and decisions in order to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job.
