Job overview

We are seeking positive, proactive and caring Healthcare Support Workers to join our teams at North Bristol NHS Trust, working at Southmead Hospital.

Our wards serve Bristol and the South West, welcoming patients from a wide geographical area including Bath, Weston, Gloucester, and Somerset.

You will be working closely with our teams to deliver a compassionate, high quality and responsive service to meet the needs of our patients.

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome applications from:

  • Individuals new to healthcare and ready to start a rewarding career
  • Those with previous care experience seeking a fresh and exciting opportunity

Experience in a care role is not essential - candidates who meet the criteria may be considered for Trainee or Senior Healthcare Support Worker positions.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in our state-of-the-art hospital
  • Work within a supportive and collaborative team
  • Make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families

Please note, this role does not currently meet the salary requirement for certificate of sponsorship. From the 9th April 2025, the minimum salary required for a Skilled Worker visa became £25,000 per year. While this role may be offered at a higher point on the pay scale depending on relevant NHS experience, most new starters are appointed at the bottom of the band, which does not meet the new salary threshold.

It is likely this vacancy will close early if sufficient applications are received.
