We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant to support our busy Breast Outpatient Clinic. Working under the guidance of the Lead Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist team, you’ll help deliver high-quality care to patients while ensuring clinics run smoothly.

Your role will include assisting qualified staff in planning and delivering care, supporting patients and their families, and performing a range of clinical and clerical tasks after completing training and competency assessments. You’ll also take responsibility for ordering stock when needed and maintaining a safe, caring environment.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include supporting clinicians during procedures (following training and competency checks), performing simple dressings using aseptic technique, and carrying out observations, blood glucose checks, and specimen collection. You’ll also help maintain a safe, clean environment by completing equipment checks, cleaning, and ensuring stock levels are managed.

You’ll play a vital role in patient safety by responding appropriately to emergencies and reporting any incidents or concerns. Professionalism is key—you’ll demonstrate excellent customer care skills while respecting privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
