Fixed Term / Secondment to end of December 26
The Directorate of Public Health’s Health Improvement team coordinates and leads work to support the health improvement agenda in Tayside. This requires working in close partnership with Tayside’s local authorities, third sector, NHS colleagues and other community planning partners.
The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of work to encourage and support workplaces across all sectors in Tayside to adopt fair and healthy workplace practice and improve employee health and wellbeing. The post holder may also be required to provide support for other health improvement priority areas.
The role includes development and delivery of training sessions, provision of specialist advice and partnership working to deliver health improvement projects.
Current NHS Tayside Employees - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
Applicants should be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and have a postgraduate diploma (or equivalent experience) in public health/health promotion. Excellent communication and influencing skills combined with relevant health improvement experience and knowledge of health improvement theory and practice are essential for this post..
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 37.0 per week. Working days are Monday-Friday; flexi-time is offered. The post will be based at Kings Cross Hospital in Dundee.
