Band 3 Health Care Support Worker, District Nursing Service. 14.8 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen for a health care support worker to join one of our district nursing teams in Tweeddale locality.
We are looking for a HCSW to join our dynamic and motivated District Nursing Service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a community setting, supporting patients in their own homes. We are committed to delivering high quality, person-centred care. Providing skilled nursing interventions to those on our caseload.
You must be a team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible working is essential, working between three bases supporting the needs of the service. Experience of working within the community is desirable but not essential.
As a HCSW you would provide support to members of the nursing team in delivering holistic person-centred care to patients and their families/carers whilst under direct and indirect supervision. It is expected that the HCSW regularly works unsupervised in the community setting.
To work within defined parameters and scope of practice often unsupervised with delegated case/workload which will involve a variety of tasks within a multidisciplinary framework such as wound care, skin assessment, basic vital signs, venepuncture, catheter care and provision of equipment.
A full current driving licence and access to a car is essential.
