There are opportunities in a variety of different clinical environments, all permanent both full-time and part-time, and will involve rotation on to days and nights.
The post holder will be expected to work within our dedicated multi-disciplinary team and be fully involved in an individual’s care from admission to discharge, assisting with patient hygiene and dressing, feeding, maintaining dignity and respect, keeping the environment clean and tidy and keeping good documentation records on numerous topics including skin integrity & nutrition. In addition our health care workers are expected to support the registered staff nurses in meeting the required targets both at local and national level.

As a Health Care Worker you will be working under the direct supervision of registered health care professional and assist the healthcare team with personal care delivery of a defined group of patients & a range of clinical duties/ tasks, always ensuring that actions taken are undertaken by the individual following appropriate training and within their sphere of competence.
Work within the ward/department setting, providing high quality, caring, compassionate & personal care to patients & their families/carers. Work under the direction of the Registered Healthcare Professionals & senior colleagues, both independently & as part of the multi- disciplinary team. Under the direction of a Registered Health Care Professional ensure a high standard of service provision within ward/department, by practicing effective clinical and administrative preparation, effective communication and care delivery, prioritising workload appropriately & contributing to service improvements. Participate in giving compassionate high quality personal care to patients prioritising appropriately & developing competencies that safeguard practice. Act always in a manner, which illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity & confidentiality. Always exhibit a professional attitude behaviour & demonstrate excellent customer care skills. Contribute to effective team working by being fully involved, committed, & participating towards achieving own and others full potential.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
