We’re looking for a Health and Wellbeing Project Support Coordinator to support our innovative programme: From Isolation to Connection: Finding Common Ground — a one-year exploration into loneliness among healthcare staff.

🧠 About the Role

This part-time role (2 days/week) is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is driven by purpose. You’ll play a key role in:

  • Researching the prevalence and impact of loneliness, including links to mental health and suicide.
  • Engaging staff through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to understand lived experiences.
  • Co-producing wellbeing initiatives with staff and supporting their delivery.
  • Building partnerships and helping to organise inclusive social activities.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and national NHS learning on staff wellbeing.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Health and Wellbeing Project Support Coordinator will support the From Isolation to Connection: Finding Common Ground, a one-year programme exploring loneliness among healthcare staff. The post holder will undertake research to understand the prevalence and impact of loneliness, including links to poor mental health and suicide, and differences across staff demographics.

In addition, the post holder will engage staff through surveys, interviews, and focus groups; support co-production of wellbeing initiatives; develop local partnerships; and help deliver social activities. Findings will inform Royal Surrey’s strategic planning and contribute to national NHS learning on loneliness and staff wellbeing.
