We are seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of Head of Service leading our Adult Learning Disabilities Service across the county.

The Community Learning Disability Team works with people who have learning disabilities and health conditions that need specialist care.  The key aim is to reduce health inequalities by helping people overcome barriers to good health.

The multi-disciplinary team provide specialist health advice to people with learning disabilities, their carers, families and the wider health and social care community. The team can provide community nursing care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, vision and hearing support and speech and language therapy.

Main duties of the job

As Head of Service you will be responsible for the safe and effective operational management of Adult Learning Disability Services; advocating for our clients; ensuring that delivery of high-quality provision is sustained through the period of wider system service change presented by the Clinical Service Review (CSR).

The CSR review will necessitate a move to place level provision and you will play a key role in ensuring that the perspective of this service is reflected moving forward whilst supporting your teams through this transformational period.
