Head of Capital Projects - Band 8c
37.5 hours per week
To lead and manage, both strategically and operationally, the capital development. Lead estates development including setting and maintaining standards for the environment and advising the Board and staff. Project Director role on all major/complex capital projects including facilitating and co-ordinating input from patients, clinicians, nurses, support staff and designers.
Main duties of the job

- This long term objective is supported by a strategic capital programme that will be delivered within the context of the current economic climate.
- Reporting to the Associate Director of Estates & Facilities the candidate will strategically manage the capital development programme.
- This will include planning, setting and maintaining standards for the environment and advising the Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team accordingly.
- Using your proactive attitude you will implement and control a capital projects service based on an appropriate business development model that delivers the relevant part of the Trust’s Estates Strategy and Business Plan.You could expect a dynamic, proactive role within the Estates & Facilities Team to deliver high quality and value for money major/complexconstruction projects from inception to completion.
- You will be competent in using effective project management techniques whilst facilitating and co-ordinating input from patients, clinicians, building designers, planners, architects, consultants and sub-contractors.
