..........................................................

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic GP to join our friendly, forward-thinking Practice in the historic coastal town of St Andrews.

We value collaborative working, innovation and professional development, alongside a healthy work-life balance and a supportive team culture. We believe in giving new colleagues the time, space and support to feel settled, valued and connected within the team, enabling them to build an engaging and professionally fulfilling role and a long term place within the Practice. Our excellent staff retention reflects this commitment.

We’re based in a modern community hospital and serve over 15,000 patients, including a large student population from the University of St Andrews. The role offers a varied and rewarding workload, including:

  • Inpatient care with several palliative care beds
  • Medical cover for the Minor Injuries Unit
  • Running the Fife Coil Hub

We are a well-established GP training Practice with nine Partners, supported by a large and experienced multidisciplinary team including ANPs, Practice Nurses, a Mental Health Nurse, HCAs and pharmacists, alongside a dedicated administrative team. Teaching and mentorship are important parts of Practice life, and we take pride in supporting GP trainees and medical students within a positive and encouraging learning environment.

We are committed to sustainable General Practice, with a strong multidisciplinary model and supportive systems designed to promote manageable workloads and continuity of care.

St Andrews offers an exceptional quality of life, with beautiful coastal surroundings, excellent schools, and outstanding sporting and cultural opportunities, while remaining within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.

............................................................

We would be delighted to hear from experienced or newly qualified GPs who value high-quality patient care, teamwork and a supportive practice culture.

We’d love to show you around - come and meet the team, see the Practice, and get a feel for life in St Andrews. No obligation, just a conversation. Contact lynseyanne.marwick@nhs.scot. Applications by CV and tailored supporting letter.
