GP Maternity / Sabbatical Locum

August 2026 Start | 12–16 Months | 6 sessions per week

Kelso Medical Group is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our friendly and forward-thinking team from August 2026. This is a 12–16 month maternity/sabbatical locum position providing cover within our established GP team.

About Us

We are a well-established, progressive training practice serving approximately 12,000 patients in the beautiful semi-rural town of Kelso and surrounding TD5 postcode area.

Our clinical team includes:

  • 9 GP Partners
  • 5 Full-Time ANPs
  • 3 Prescribing Practice Nurses

We are supported by an experienced and dedicated management, reception, secretarial and administrative team.

We provide high quality, responsive and compassionate care through a mix of pre-booked and same-day appointments led by GPs and ANPs. Our team culture is collaborative and supportive — with protected downtime, strong peer support, and yes… a lively staff room!

  • Physiotherapy
  • Pharmacy team
  • Mental Health services

We are proud to host senior medical students from Edinburgh University and value teaching and professional development.
