The posts are adaptable to suit the candidate's areas of interest - Candidates will be supported in developing a new service that supports the wider emergency needs of the patients in Leeds. Leeds teaching hospital is a major trauma centre and has been successful in delivering training to specialist trainees in emergency medicine and has also run a successful junior clinical fellow and a senior clinical fellow program over the years. This being new posts allows the candidate to tailor the non-clinical time to further develop their skills in emergency medicine and work towards a non-clinical portfolio.
The post holders will be working at 80/20 clinical to non-clinical split of total contracted time. There will be funding available for attending relevant external courses.
The posts are offered on a fixed term contract for 6 months up to 12 months in the first instance. The post holder must be registered with GMC and hold a license to practice.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering care to patients within the Emergency Departments at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital.
