An exciting opportunity has arisen for two posts within the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS), NHS Lothian, to support the delivery of a high‑quality medical equipment management service.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, conscientious, and technically capable individuals, joining an established team providing medical equipment management services across NHS Lothian. You will contribute to the safe, effective, and timely deployment of medical devices in support of clinical services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide technical support including the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of medical equipment. Duties will be carried out across multiple hospital sites and community clinics, supporting day‑to‑day service delivery.

Applicants should be qualified to SCQF level 9 or higher in an electrical or electronic discipline or demonstrate equivalent training and relevant experience. You will be self‑motivated, organised, and experienced in medical equipment management, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a flexible, methodical approach to work.

The Medical Equipment Management Service has a strong track record of staff development and career progression. With a clear focus on quality, safety, and patient care, you will join an enthusiastic team delivering equipment management services across a wide range of clinical specialties. This includes work at four acute hospital sites and within the wider local healthcare community, supporting the delivery of world‑class healthcare. This role may involve travel across hospitals and clinics throughout Lothian, and flexibility in working location is therefore required
