We have an exciting new clinical project post within Genomics and the Cancer setting. Here within the Cancer Nursing Team and the wider multi-disciplinary team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking to recruit a dynamic lead nurse to the post of: Genomics Clinical Nurse Specialist The post is 37.5 hours per week (but would accept 30 hours per week) and will work across multiple trust locations and within our local communities bring care closer to the patients.
The role requires a registered nurse who can work autonomously within their scope of practice and of the job description and support cancer teams to deliver safe effective care to our patients. Furthermore, the appointee must be equipped with excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary group of clinicians, patients, and allied healthcare providers.
You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development.
This vacancy will be considered for a secondment opportunity. Please note - if you would like your application to be considered for secondment, you must secure agreement from your line manager beforehand that you can be released to undertake the role.
