Reporting to the Receipt & Distribution Manager, the post-holder will be a key member of the Receipt & Distribution team, responsible for general housekeeping tasks, processing receipts, and managing deliveries across the site. This includes transporting multiple loads and accurately recording information using electronic handheld devices.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure prompt delivery of received goods to end users to a central plan as directed by the Receipt & Distribution Manager.
- Ensure that deliveries are accepted at the end users department/ward and ensure a signed record of the delivery is made.
- Deal with customer and vendor queries as necessary.
- Deliver/retrieve items from Wards, Departments, Hospital Reception or other areas as necessary.
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Receipt & Distribution Manager
- Establish and maintain a working rapport with Purchasing, Stock Control, Invoice Control and administration colleagues.

- Ensure that deliveries are accepted at the end users department/ward and ensure a signed record of the delivery is made.
- Deal with customer and vendor queries as necessary
- Deliver/retrieve items from Wards, Departments, Hospital Reception or other areas as necessary.
- Keep all storage areas and materials handling equipment safe, secure, clean and tidy.
- Ensure that any appropriate tools and equipment provided by the Procurement Department and/or suppliers are used in accordance with there intended purpose
- Participate in the Procurement Safety working group
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Receipt & Distribution Manager
