General Paediatric Trust Fellows in International Private Patients
This is a post for a General Paediatric Fellow at ST6 plus equivalent to be advertised internally only – for a fixed term of 12 months post.
We would like a candidate who has MRCPCH or equivalent and significant previous paediatric training experience in the NHS or Equivalent Health Care Setting.
The International and Private Care Directorate at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust is a quaternary centre of excellence for treating sick children and for teaching and training paediatricians.
These posts provide an opportunity to care for a tremendously varied group of patients in a quaternary centre of excellence. We anticipate that these General Paediatric posts will help you gain unique middle grade experience working with children with complex needs at the end of your paediatric training programme.

Full Time/ Part Time Applicants Welcome
The Trust Fellows in I&PC work a full shift rota providing daytime cover between the hours of 07:30 to 21:00 within the department (Bumblebee, Hedgehog, Butterfly and Caterpillar wards), Monday to Sunday (weekend frequency 1:3.5, providing medical cover to all patients (international, private and NHS), alongside specialty consultants, specialty teams, ward based General Paediatric consultants and the wider General Paediatric team. Additionally, there is an out of hours commitment of night shifts, 20:00-09:00, covering paediatric gastroenterology, metabolic medicine and endocrinology (frequency 1:13).
This rota is compliant with the latest iteration of the NHS Employers Junior Doctors Terms and Conditions of Service and the European Working Time Directive. A normal working day is 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday. There will usually be two day-time doctors and one late shift doctor on Bumblebee ward Monday to Friday, one doctor on Hedgehog ward and one doctor each day on each ward at the weekends. There is prospective cover for both annual and study leave which must be requested at least 6 weeks in advance.
