Freedom to Speak up Guardian (2 x 12 month secondment posts)
The Trust is seeking to recruit two Freedom to Speak up Guardians to work within the Medical Directorate in order to support the directorate team in the delivery of the trusts Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) obligation. The role is an autonomous role so the post holder will need to be able to work independently and across team and organisational boundaries with ease and confidence.
Acting in a supportive capacity to the trust lead for Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU), in a genuinely independent capacity working alongside Trust leadership teams to support the organisations continuing aim to improve openness and transparency within the workplace, and to further promote listening and learning culture, aligned to the NHS people promise that everyone should have a voice that counts. The role is essential in supporting the delivery and embedding of the Trust values and a culture of safe and outstanding care.
Alongside the Medical Director, Guardians and directorate Senior Management Team, you will support the team to continue to develop a range of mechanisms in addition to established formal processes which actively encourage and enable staff to speak up safely and independently of the corporate process.
