Main duties of the job

To work across the Divisions and Groups to ensure that high quality performance and patient flow reporting governance structures are in place and adhered to. The postholder will be an authoritative and professional clinical leader with responsibility for patient flow and the associated day-to-day and forward operational planning and decision making, liaising with multi professional colleagues.

This role requires a flexible approach to working across a range of speciality areas to ensure that the flow and performance reports and assurance meetings are appropriately administered providing insights from complex data analysis to inform executives of triangulated themes (positives and concerns) are highlighted.

There is a need to use statistical tools and techniques so that the assurance process from Ward to Trust Board is an open and transparent culture.

The role will include working with areas where there are concerns or requirements for recovery plans and will be a key member of the Deputy Divisional Director for Urgent and Emergency Medicine’s office supporting both the Divisional Directors and their Deputies (including Group Managers) to ensure performance accountability embraces the principle of high quality, safe services deliver high performance.
