We are currently seeking a highly motivated Family Support Worker to join our team in Co Roscommon

Contract Type: Return of Hours (20 + per week negotiable)

Salary Scale: FSW pay scale €35,771 (17.63 per hour) - €43,288 (21.34 per hour) 7 points

Overview of the Post:

To provide support to children to enable them to participate in the community, achieve person centred goals and facilitate inclusion. The Family Support Worker will provide practical, personal and social support to the individual they work with.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

  • QQI Level 5 major award in childcare
  • Be expected to honor and respect the diverse requirements of both individuals, families and groups using the service
  • Work as part of the team within the service, will be reliable and professional in their work
  • Respect the confidentiality code at all times
  • Follow policies and codes of practice of the organisation
  • Be flexible in relation to working arrangements, duties and location
  • Work under direction of the Team Lead and/or Outreach Respite Manager
  • Record workload and maintain required documentation on activities and tasks completed during work session
  • Some positions may require transport provision. In these cases, the applicant must hold a full clean driving license.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Access to transport and full clean driving license
  • Manual and Patient handling
  • FAR training
  • Children’s first training
