Job overview

Are you looking for a family therapy development role with career progression? If so, we have the ideal team to gain experience with!

We're seeking someone to join the Buckinghamshire Young People's Eating Disorder Service, as a Newly Qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapist where you will deliver a high-quality, comprehensive mental health service for children, young people, and their families experiencing mental health and eating disorder challenges.

As a newly qualified or developing Family Therapist you will be working within an experienced team, where you will work alongside and be supported by a Consultant Family Psychotherapist.  We will support you to develop from a Band 7 to a Band 8a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist.

You will join a well-established, highly skilled and friendly team to work within. The team prides itself in its positive culture and well-functioning multidisciplinary team (MDT) way of working.  NICE concordant treatments, including family-based treatments are at the forefront of our practice.  The team consists of clinicians from a range of specialisms including psychology, nursing, dietetics, occupational therapy family therapy and psychiatry.

This team is regularly complimented on its high level of expertise, commitment to patient care and its fun and friendly culture.

We strongly encourage prospective applicants to contact us for an informal discussion, even a visit to our site to meet us and hear more about working in our service.

  • The assessment and treatment of young people with a range of eating disorder presentations.
