We are currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor, who will support the function of the facilities services provided to Portree & Broadford Hospital & local Health Centres in Skye.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, Food, Fluid and Nutritional Care Standards and Waste Regulations.

This post includes supervision of all services provided by the facilities team, including catering and domestic roles. Preferred facilities experience would be desired. This role supports the Support Manager to ensure policies and procedures are managed and meet legislation, daily supervision and management of the team and operational services, management of core and role training, and authorise and completion of Scottish Standard time system.

The successful applicant will be required to cover, if required, all NHS Sites in the local geographical area, and a fleet vehicle is available for travelling to sites, and it is essential to have a driving licence. This is a 36 hour post to cover a 7 day rota, hours worked will be between 0700-1900 and includes weekend working, however other shift patterns would be needed at times to cover staff absence and annual leave, should it be required.

Rate of pay - £15.50 an hour and weekend working premium rates attractive.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
